Position Overview
At Niural, we’re redefining global payroll and benefits management with innovative, AI-powered solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Benefit Account Manager to join our client success team in New York. In this critical role, you will serve as a trusted partner to our large group clients, delivering exceptional service by strategically managing their employee benefit programs. Leveraging your deep expertise in health insurance plan designs and ACA compliance, you’ll drive successful annual renewals, foster long-term client relationships, and collaborate with our sales team to win new business. Key Responsibilities
- Master PEO Benefits Quoting: Own end-to-end benefits quoting process for the Master PEO program for Medical, Ancillary benefits, EPLI, WC, and others as applicable.
- Renewal Management: Lead the annual renewal process by securing competitive medical quotes, analyzing market trends, and delivering customized renewal packages that optimize client value and compliance.
- Plan Comparison & Analysis: Create detailed, data-driven plan comparisons using advanced spreadsheet techniques, transitioning from our current manual process to an automated system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in client decision-making.
- ACA Compliance: Provide authoritative guidance on Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirements, including rate setting and resolving IRS Employer Shared Responsibility Payment (ESRP) disputes, ensuring 100% compliance for all client accounts.
- Health Plan Expertise: Advise clients on a full spectrum of health insurance plan designs (medical, dental, vision, and ancillary benefits), tailoring solutions to meet diverse workforce needs and drive employee satisfaction.
- Employee Engagement: Conduct impactful employee meetings to educate workforces on benefit plans, streamline enrollment, and address inquiries with clarity and professionalism.
- Sales Collaboration: Partner with the sales team to develop and present compelling benefit quotes to prospective clients, driving business growth and client acquisition.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of large group clients, fostering trust and loyalty through proactive, responsive communication, resulting in a 95%+ client retention rate across managed accounts.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in employee benefits account management, insurance brokerage, or a related field, with proven success managing large group clients.
- PEO Expertise: Strong preference for candidates with Professional Employer Organization (PEO) experience, demonstrating familiarity with co-employment models and their benefits structures.
- ACA Compliance: In-depth knowledge of ACA regulations, particularly in rate setting and IRS ESRP dispute resolution, with a track record of maintaining full compliance.
- Health Plan Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of all health insurance plan designs, including medical, dental, vision, and ancillary benefits, with the ability to recommend optimal solutions.
- Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications for plan comparisons, with adaptability to transition to automated systems, ensuring precision and scalability.
- Communication & Presentation: Exceptional skills in conducting employee meetings and delivering clear, compelling presentations to clients, resulting in high engagement and satisfaction.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, client-focused environment, managing multiple priorities with a proactive, results-driven approach.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CEBS, GBA) or a Life & Health insurance license are a plus, reflecting a commitment to professional excellence.
