Async Reporting in Niural: Run Reports Without Waiting on the Page

Pulling a report used to mean watching a loading screen. For a quick single-entity export, that's a minor annoyance. For a payroll report spanning multiple pay entities and a wide date range, it could mean sitting on a blocked page while the system worked, unable to do anything else until it finished.

That wait is gone. Report generation in Niural now runs asynchronously, which means it processes in the background while you move on to the next thing.

How it works

When you trigger a report, it no longer holds the page hostage. Instead, a yellow banner appears at the top of the screen: "X reports are processing." That's your signal that the job is running behind the scenes.

You're free to navigate away, start another task, or queue up additional reports. When processing finishes, a success banner confirms: "X reports have been generated successfully." It auto-dismisses after five seconds, so it stays out of your way.

What this means for you

The practical effect is simple: no more waiting.

For finance and operations teams, the payoff shows up most on the heavy pulls, consolidated reports across multiple pay entities, or exports covering long date ranges for a close or an audit. These are exactly the reports that used to take the longest and lock up the screen the longest. Now you can trigger one, keep reconciling or reviewing elsewhere, and return when it's ready.
