2025 marked a defining year for Niural AI. As the world of finance moves at an accelerated pace because of AI, we built the intelligent infrastructure the modern CFO needs: unified, automated, and designed to scale. This year, we advanced our vision and updated our brand to strengthen our global employment platform.
Major Growth Milestones

In 2025, we raised a $31M Series A funding to accelerate our mission of building the first AI-native system of intelligence for the CFO suite. We opened our 7,000 sq. ft. New York City headquarters, located next to the NYSE, to deepen collaboration and strengthen our presence at the center of global finance.
Our team grew from 40 to 110 with team members stationed in a dozen countries, and added some key hires:
- Andy Hutter - Head of Strategic Partnerships
- Nicole Wilkerson - Director of Underwriting
- Justin Reid - Senior Underwriting Consultant
- David Leviyev - Account Executive
- Reed Pfeiffer - Account Executive
- Ovi Terejanu - Director of Finance & Accounting
- Jim Wall - Product Manager - Benefits
We promoted Roshan Lama to General Manager Asia, Traci Williams to Director of PEO and Operations, Prasidha Karki to Senior Engineering Manager, and Madhuraman Ghimire to Engineering Manager.
We added several new clients, and we continue to support the high-growth companies in expanding their global operations.
We achieved SOC 2 Type II certification, reinforcing our commitment to enterprise-grade security and trust. We also completed a full brand evolution: Niural became Niural AI, reflecting the central role intelligence now plays across payroll, payments, compliance, and finance operations. Our look shifted from green to purple and pink, representing innovation, clarity, and energy.
By year’s end, the platform supports 120+ currencies.
New Products, Features and Enhancements
2025 marked a pivotal evolution for Niural AI as we moved closer to becoming an intelligent financial and workforce management platform. The Niural Team deployed 200+ features this year.
- A Stronger Platform Foundation
A consolidated login system now supports employers, employees, contractors, and partners through a single, role-aware flow. Alongside this, Niural introduced a full platform rebrand, including a redesigned website and refreshed in-app UI.
- Expanding Payroll Into a Global, Flexible Engine
Payroll enhancements included clearer paystubs and benefit invoices, smarter tax-change alerts, and more transparent time-off summaries, plus a dedicated bonus section in the payroll flow. Across U.S. Payroll and EOR, we added multi-office and multi-state support, deeper variance reporting, clearer journals and invoices, and the ability to run payroll with active benefits even when employees have zero gross pay.
- AI-Native Workflows and Agentic Systems
The Niural AI Beta launched with intelligent onboarding for employees, contractors, EOR workers, and Agents of Record, with automated misclassification detection, AI compliance checks, and assisted offer letter generation. We launched EMMA, Niural’s AI SuperAgent, embedded in our Global PEO. It learns each customer’s workflows and actively runs payroll, HR, and compliance tasks. We strengthened EMMA with Moonlighter Mode, which flags undisclosed multi-employment risks, and Risk Analyzer, which reviews contracts for legal exposure, compliance gaps, and unfavorable terms. Under the hood, we invested heavily in agent infrastructure, multi-model orchestration, centralized logging, and improved accuracy.
- Benefits, Compliance, and the Employee Lifecycle
We added Qualifying Life Events (QLE) support for U.S. benefits, enabling compliant mid-year changes with structured workflows, approvals, and full audit trails. Dependent management is now embedded in employee profiles to ensure benefit accuracy. Employers can configure and toggle voluntary, contributory, and custom fringe benefits with correct tax treatment and automatic payroll mapping. We also introduced 401(k) loan repayment via automatic payroll deductions.
- Workforce Management at Scale
The Time Off system revamp introduced policy-level controls, bulk balance updates, balance transfers, and support for W-2 employees, contractors, and global workers. Timesheets now include full audit trails, tracking who created, approved, rejected, or modified entries.
- Niural Pay and Financial Operations
Accounts Payable now supports email-based invoice ingestion, automated scanning, enhanced aging and vendor reports, bill duplication, voiding, reprocessing, and dedicated void-bill reporting. We added vendor profile photos, approver reminders, and custom field validation across AP and AR, plus richer contractor payment analytics and in-platform W-8BEN, W-8BEN-E, and W-9 completion. On the accounting side, we launched entity management, inline GL coding, and multi-entity QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Sage integrations, enabling centralized management of multiple legal entities.
- Wallets, Treasury, and Cash Rewards
A major milestone was the launch of Niural Wallet, enabling businesses to hold, move, and track funds across USD and crypto rails for payroll, contractors, vendors, deposits, and fees. We expanded this with Contractor Wallet, allowing payouts in fiat or stablecoins while reducing FX friction. In 2025, Niural Cash Rewards reached general availability, offering up to 3% APY on payroll and payment balances with no lockups or minimums, making Niural the first payroll and HR platform to natively embed intelligent treasury into daily operations.
- Native Crypto and Blockchain Payments
Niural significantly expanded its crypto payment infrastructure. Employers can now initiate payments from Solana wallets, process payouts on Base (Ethereum Layer 2) for lower fees and faster settlement, and use Katana Network and Base tokens as native payout methods, enabling modern, scalable global payments.
- Reliability, Scale, and Internal Systems
All US-based clients were transitioned from Orum to Unit for payments with zero disruption. The Niural Admin Panel v1 consolidated previously fragmented internal tools, improving operational efficiency across payroll, benefits, and compliance teams. We introduced automated Slack alerts for critical operational events, improved admin visibility into PEO fees and revenue, and resolved long-standing sync and pagination issues.
We also introduced other top features such as:
- HRIS Upgrades: Get a clear picture of your company's reporting structure.
- Expanded Approvals: Link access and approval controls directly to your org chart.
- Advanced Reporting: Summarize and analyze your data the way you want. Build dynamic reports with pivot tables and toggle between summaries and detailed views.
- Owner's Draw: For business owners without a traditional salary, set up and process Owner's Draws directly in the platform. These payments flow through your personal tax return, making payroll tax filing simpler.
- Future-Dated Salary Updates: Schedule salary changes for future dates right from the estimates dashboard.
- EOR Payroll & Estimates Updates: Update salaries directly from the estimates dashboard, with improved tools for managing pay and compensation.
